💰 NYC’s Priciest Home Lists for $110M

April 18, 2025

What Up, Family?

Hey, you might’ve noticed that The Edit didn’t hit your inbox on Wednesday like usual. So, what happened?

In an effort to level up and make your experience more personalized, I switched email platforms. Unfortunately, we ran into some tech hiccups along the way, and now all my emails are being sent to spam. Now I’m in inbox jail, slowly rebuilding my sender reputation—one awesome reader at a time.

If you enjoy The Edit, you can help by clicking on links, replying to this email, or even just opening it. Any action helps!

I greatly appreciate your support and wanted to personally thank you for being a core part of this community! The silver lining? I’m learning, evolving, and committed to making The Edit better than ever.

Now, without further ado, let’s get back to regular programming, serving your weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdom—all in three minutes or less. Let’s dive in.

Real Estate Remix

NYC’s priciest home has hit the market. The “quadplex” penthouse at 111 West 57th St is listed for $110M; it’s the skinniest skyscraper on the planet and the second-tallest residential building in the U.S. (the first is Central Park Tower). Every unit inside Steinway Tower takes up one full floor, but Penthouse 80 takes up the top four floors, earning it the unique title of a quadplex—a rarity in NYC. The five-bed residence spans a whopping 11,480 SF plus 618 SF of terrace space, which teeters 1,000 feet above the sidewalk! There’s an entertainment suite, sunset lounge, private internal elevator, and crown suite with a screening room, space for billiards, and a full bar. I’m not gonna lie, the terrace doesn’t exactly sound appealing to me, but wow, this home is fly!

NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week

This new art exhibit in DUMBO looks so dope! Titled ‘Keff Joons’ (an obvious play on Jeff Koons’ and a nod to the artists’ iconic balloon sculptures), artist CJ Hendry invites anyone with a sense of humor and play to interact with her massive balloon knot installation. Featuring 50 oversized balloons, the gallery space has been transformed into a whimsical playground. Who said only kids got to play? The exhibit only runs until April 20th, so I’d try to get there ASAP! Open from 10 AM-5 PM at 50 Gold Street.

Weekly Gem 💎

Be ‘Bout That Action!

It’s easy to get stuck in research mode—downloading information, watching videos, and reading everything you can. We do this when we want to understand something better, gather intel, or simply to dig deeper. It’s so easy to get into a rabbit hole of information
but at some point, you’ve got to move and actually apply what you’ve learned. Don’t get stuck in the learning loop! Start applying, start refining. Remember: progress lives in action! Be ‘bout that action!
