Will Home Prices Drop? 🏡

April 23, 2025

What Up, Family?

Hey , we’re back on schedule!

You might’ve noticed The Edit arrived a little late last week—thanks for your patience. I’m still in the process of rebuilding my sender reputation after switching email platforms, which means some of you may find this email in your spam folder.

If you want to make sure you never miss an issue, here’s what you can do:

  1. Move this email to your Primary inbox and flag it as “important”
  2. Reply—even a “got it” helps
  3. If you no longer want to receive The Edit, you can unsubscribe here. (I understand things change!)

All this means a lot as I get The Edit back to where it belongs: front and center in your inbox.

Now, let’s get into your weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdom—in three minutes or less.

Real Estate Remix

It’s good news for my prospective home buyers with Zillow’s latest market report. The data (which analyzed new listings, price cuts, and home values) forecasts home prices across the US will drop 1.7% from March 2025 to March 2026. The reason for this outlook is primarily based on supply and affordability. Trends are showing more homes being listed, which gives buyers more options and negotiation power, thus bringing down prices. However, not everyone shares the same outlook: Fannie Mae and Wells Fargo both predict home prices will rise this year. So remember, forecasts are just that—hypotheses based on data trends. While it’s important to know what the bigger players are predicting, it’s even more important to talk to an expert such as myself to understand how this applies to the market you’re buying in.

NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week

Spring, that you? I don’t know about y’all, but I’m extremely happy for these warmer temps after that brutal winter we had. During these weeks, as the weather warms up, I like to plan my summer concert calendar. There’s something about an outdoor concert that hits different, so I usually try to go to Pier 17 and Forest Hills at least once a season. Leon Bridges on Sept 4th at Forest Hills already has my attention! Little Island’s summer programming was also recently released with smaller, indie shows performing on the island’s open-air amphitheater, which overlooks the Hudson River.

Weekly Gem 💎

Faith It Until You Make It

You’ve heard the phrase “fake it til you make it,” but I’ve never been big on pretending, family.

Faith it until you make it. That hits different. That’s deeper.

Faking is rooted in fear—performing for the world while praying they don’t see the cracks. But faith? Faith is power in motion. It’s belief without proof. It’s action before approval.

When I stepped into new chapters—fatherhood, real estate, entrepreneurship—I didn’t always know the how. But I always had the why. And I leaned on that faith like a crutch until it became my new normal. Until my confidence caught up to my conviction.

So today, whatever’s in front of you, walk like it’s already yours. Move like your prayers are being answered in real time. Don’t wait for the results to believe—believe so the results have no choice but to materialize.

That’s not pretending. That’s how you faith it until you make it.
