What Up Family?
Welcome to The Edit with Aaron Seawood, a lifestyle letter serving a weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdom—all in three minutes or less. Let’s dive in.
Real Estate Remix
It’s officially summer, so many of my clients (myself included) are shifting gears from city living to beach town relaxation. Here’s a fly roundup of the best wooden houses in the Hamptons. From a 2,000 SF cedar-shake dome to a 7-bed, 7-bath ultra-modern cabin in the woods, these homes are shaking up the typical architecture styles we tend to see out East. My favorite is definitely the dome; make sure you click on the Zillow link, as the interiors are stunning and unlike anything I’ve seen before.
NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week
My fellow architecture enthusiasts will love this one! This coming Sunday, June 2nd is the annual Park Slope House Tour. This self-guided tour allows ticket holders to tour several homes in the neighborhood, including condos, co-ops, and new developments. Tickets are $45 and are available online here. If you’re interested in living and buying in Park Slope, I highly recommend this tour to get a feel for the homes in the neighborhood and learn what style appeals most to you. Who’s coming with me?!
Weekly Gem 💎
Trust yourself.
There’s so much noise in the world; so many gurus and religions advising with differing points of view. It’s important to remember that the only voice that matters is the one that’s inside. You have to trust yourself, love yourself, and believe in yourself. There’s something called a gut feeling—it doesn’t matter how old you are—and your gut will tell you what’s right. Be still enough to hear your voice. It’s the only one that matters!

A Team Carte Blanche Listing
Sharing another Team Carte Blanche listing today! A unit of this caliber rarely comes to market. 254 Park Ave South, Unit 7KL strikes the perfect balance between location, renovation, and space. This special “two-bed” (one-bed plus interior bed/home office) boasts soaring 14’ ceilings and light-filled south-facing windows. Here’s what else I love about it:
- Beautiful, modern, soothing interiors made of organic stone and wood.
- Chef’s kitchen with a separate dining area, a slew of customized closets, an in-unit washer/dryer, and a spacious loft for sleeping, hanging, or storage.
- A historic building façade with French limestone, 24-hour concierge, gym, and a recently renovated lobby.
- Located in the heart of Flatiron, a neighborhood at the center of it all—including neoclassical architecture, one of my favorite hamburgers in the city (shout out Joe Jr!), and plenty of bars and eateries for post-work entertainment.

Before you go…
🧱: This BK condo ($2.5M) feels like an artist’s loft inside a farmhouse. I dig the exposed brick, and the European touch means the home doesn’t lack comfort.
📖: The Compass Curated magazine is here! Take a peek to see some of the dope listings currently on the market across the U.S.
♯: Is our next “song of the summer” on this list? What do you think is missing?
👩🏻⚖️: Judge Judy’s NYC duplex penthouse is on the market for $9.5M. Damn, she did well for herself!
🎵: The one and only Lenny Kravitz is back with his 12th studio album, Blue Electric Light, and it’s steeped in funk, with some Prince influences sprinkled throughout. Dope album, thoughts?
