NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week

Frieze NY starts today and runs until this Sunday, May 5th. It’s happening at The Shed and brings together more than 60 of the world’s leading galleries to showcase ambitious solo, group, and theme art. It’s one of my favorite large-scale art shows in all of NY (with 1-54 New York taking the cake) and I’m stoked to head there this weekend. If you’ve got tickets and want to link up, let me know! You can purchase here

Weekly Gem 💎

Stop procrastinating and just do it.

I posted this gem on my story last week and got a lot of positive feedback so I wanted to share it again here in case you missed it: Today is a day to get going on your projects. What are you procrastinating for? Procrastination is fear. You just have to do it and get started. We do all the legwork—read up on the theories, data, and strategies, but at the end of the day, you just have to do it! Once you get going, you’ll gain momentum, and it’s the momentum that will carry you through. Give it a try this week, and let me know how it goes for you!

🦐: One month ago, Pete Wells, the NYT food critic, published his list of the city’s 100 best restaurants. I’ve finally had time to cull through it. Did your favorite restaurant make the list?

:  An incredibly inspiring list of projects that 80 artists are starting. I love the idea of celebrating new beginnings.

🎵: So…the beef is on between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, and now we have Kendrick’s response to Drake’s disses in the form of Euphoria…a 6min+ opus…what do we think people? 🛋: 10 tricks from interior designers to make a room feel bigger.
