Real Estate RemixÂ
It appears that buying a home isnât just for couples. According to a survey from JW Surety Bonds, about 15% of Americans have co-purchased a home with someone other than a romantic partner. Over 6 in 10 Americans would co-buy a home with a friend, with Gen Z being the most willing (70%). Naturally, I see the appeal! Homeownership offers significant advantages, and with co-owning, you can split the cost of living and own/live in a nicer home, all while building equity. Thatâs not to say it doesnât come without risks; splitting an investment like this can be trickyâboth parties have to be in lock-step over the purpose of the home (investment property or for living purposes), the legalities, and what would happen should someoneâs living arrangement or preferences change. Now, letâs compare the surveyâs results with those of the Edit readers. Would you co-own a home with someone other than your romantic partner??Â
NYC Insider: Whatâs Happening This WeekÂ
Green-Wood Cemetery has been on my bucket list for a weekend stroll for a while now. I know, on the face, youâre like, what?? For those who know, Green-Wood is not ordinary; it is known for its gorgeous scenery and is a great place to do some philosophical thinking (especially when the weather cooperates). In honor of Womenâs History Month, Green-Wood is hosting a trolley tour of the cemeteryâs pioneering women and their remarkable stories. Itâs a great way to explore the grounds while learning about the history of those buried there. If you canât make it on Saturday, they host events all year round. Check out their March calendar here for some family-friendly activities. Â

Face your fears.Â
In January, I vacationed with my family in Jamaica. While there, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and went cliff diving. Yes, it was scary as hell and electric at the same time. How many times have we been paralyzed by fear and unable to move forward? We completely shut down at the thought of something weâre afraid of. It doesnât always have to be something as dramatic as cliff diving; maybe itâs public speaking in front of 100+ people. Whatever the case, taking baby steps is OK to get there. Iâve often heard, âEverything great is on the other side of fear.â So, take the time to figure out the things youâre afraid of and make a point to do them little by little. The sense of accomplishment is beyond belief, and your self-esteem will skyrocket. Hereâs to facing our fears together!
