What Up Family?Â
Welcome to The Edit with Aaron Seawood, a lifestyle letter serving a weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdomâall in three minutes or less. Letâs dive in.Â
Real Estate RemixÂ
Real estate has always been tied to the world around itâmortgage rates, the stock market, leadership, banks, tax policies, and generational wealth transfer are just a few of the many factors that impact the housing market. Having an agent who can explain these factors and help you plan toward your home ownership goals is paramount to succeeding. With a new president comes new economic policies, and many of my clients have been asking how the market will fare. This article outlines five factors that could make or break housing markets in 2025. But fair warning: I always remind my clients that these are educated predictions, not facts. Itâs intended to help understand what might happen, but at the end of the day, no one can predict the future. As always, reply to this email with your questionsâIâd love to help.Â
NYC Insider: Whatâs Happening This Week
I canât believe I hadnât heard of this before⌠âNYC Must-See Weekâ has returned and is offering two-for-one ticket deals across the city. Starting this past Tuesday and running until Feb 9th (it coincides exactly with Restaurant Week!), many venues (including museums, spas, ballet, broadway, and even bowling alleys and magic shows) are offering two-for-one tickets. There are definitely a few on this list that are worth snagging like QCNY day spa (which would make for a great early Valentine’s Day gift), countless Broadway shows, and Mercer Labs (an immersive art museum in the FiDi).Â
Weekly Gem đ
Be a giver, be the light.Â
In these cold and dark winter months, this gem is a simple reminder to double-check youâre laying the right foundation: Are those around you adding light to your life, or taking it away? Pay attention to how you feel after a conversation or interaction with someoneâare you fulfilled or drained? If the latter, it might be a good time to consider why that is and what changes need to happen. Be a giver to those around you, be the light. And always make sure to give to those who give back to you.Â
