Guess Who Turns 1 Today? 🎂

August 21, 2024

What Up Family?

Today marks one year since The Edit first went live! Can you believe it?? I want to personally thank every one of you for subscribing, reading, and supporting me. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my lifestyle letter as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it! I’ve attached a $100 Dunkin’ gift card below as a small thank you. The handful of readers who use it first can enjoy a coffee, breakfast sandwich, or my favorite, a hot chocolate, on me today. Just head to your local Dunkin’ and show them the code below to enjoy!

Thank you for your loyalty; I don’t take it for granted. Here’s to another year of real estate insights, dope homes, under-the-radar events, and important life lessons. Let’s dive in.

Real Estate Remix

New York’s most expensive neighborhoods (based on sale prices in Q2) have been named, and the contest for most expensive isn’t a contest at all. Hudson Yards takes the crown with the highest median sale price, clocking in at $7.5M. The second most expensive neighborhood, SoHo, followed not–so-close behind at $3.1M. In Brooklyn, on the whole, the median sale price rose 12% from $775,000 to $863,000. It’s interesting to look at data like this and clock the year-over-year changes across neighborhoods to get a feel for which neighborhoods are trending up and down in popularity. Are you considering a move to any of the neighborhoods on this list? Does this data impact your decision?

NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week

The Met’s fashion exhibit is always something worth seeing. My kids and I debate who has the most swag, so this should be a fun exercise. This year’s exhibit closes on Sept 2nd, so I’m including this here to keep myself accountable. I will try to visit before it ends. ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ brings to life four centuries’ worth of garments, all inspired by the natural world. I plan to take my daughter, Sasha, and then grab a gelato at Anita nearby.

Weekly Gem 💎

King, or be Kinged!

This gem is incredibly important: find a mentor to bring out the best in you and return the favor by becoming one yourself! It is incredibly difficult to become noteworthy on your own. It’s why we thrive by living in a society, a community, a village, a tribe. Identify someone who is your senior (and has lived enough life) to give you perspective. After all, no amount of money can equal life experience.

It’s equally as important to return the favor and become a mentor. Find someone who needs your expertise to realize their potential, move forward, and be their Sherpa up the mountain. I can tell you that the collective view at the top is mesmerizing.

I’m living my purpose, and my hope is that you are, too. I help people find home. Often, it’s a physical space (home), and other times, it’s an emotional state (heart/mind). Either way, I want to see all of us living as the grandest version of ourselves. King, or be Kinged! That is the way

đŸŽ„ : Is a luxury fortress the new safe bunker??

đŸ«: Has anyone else heard about this “viral Dubai chocolate bar”? My kids put me on to it, and it was pretty good! Here’s a review of it, and you can get it at this shop in NYC.
