What Up Family?
Welcome to The Edit with Aaron Seawood, a lifestyle letter serving a weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdom—all in three minutes or less. Let’s dive in.
Real Estate Remix
By now, I’m sure we’re all aware that mortgage rates dipped last week to their lowest in over a year. Naturally, there’s a lot of competing opinions being shared about what this means for buyers and sellers and what action you should take. It’s more nuanced and market-specific than this but generally, this dip can help buyers increase their purchasing power. If you’re thinking about selling, it means more buyers could enter the market to drive demand and pricing. As I’ve said in the past, home buying and selling is a personal decision and as your broker, I’m here to help you make the most informed decision possible. NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week
Last week the temperature finally dipped and it felt like we got our first (very early) taste of fall to come. Before that happens, I’m making sure to hit up all the outdoor activities. Pier 17 has been hosting outdoor concerts on their rooftop all summer and their lineup goes into October. Check out their lineup here to see if anything catches your eye. What’s more dope than live music with the NYC skyline as your backdrop?
Weekly Gem 💎
If You Can’t Handle Stress, You Can’t Handle Success.
Those who know me know that I espouse a ‘grow in some way, everyday’ mindset. But it’s also true that new levels bring new devils. I know we’re all familiar with B.I.G. when he said ‘Mo Money, Mo, Problems’. It’s easy to forget that when you’re growing, there’s an added level of stress. New responsibilities and new opportunities translate to added pressure, which either busts pipes or makes diamonds. Learning to time block, delegate, meditate, and exercise is essential to finding your inner harmony and staying even keeled. Success requires the mind to be ready—so prepare yourself before you go after it.
