Brooklyn Heights’ crown jewel is finally getting its second act. After years of sitting in limbo, the historic Hotel Bossert, once dubbed the “Waldorf-Astoria of Brooklyn” has officially been acquired by SomeraRoad for $100M. The plan? Luxury residences.

Built in 1909 and steeped in old-school glam (this was where the Dodgers celebrated their 1955 World Series win), Bossert has been through it: restorations, delays, and multiple ownership handoffs. But this time feels different. The team is local, the vision is in place, and the neighborhood? Already one of the most architecturally blessed in the borough (one time for my hood!)

If SomeraRoad delivers on the goods, this could become one of the most iconic adaptive reuse projects in the borough. Brooklyn’s past and future just shook hands.
