Last week NYC kicked off plans to begin rezoning Midtown. The move comes in response to the city’s housing shortage and plans to turn commercial offices into 20,000 new housing units. Personally, I’m stoked to see the city actively working on a solution to address inventory issues. This past year, the shortage of available homes has been abundantly clear—as I’m sure all buyers can attest—and it’s encouraging to see the city actively working on solutions.
NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week
Jay-Z is in my Top 5 rappers of all time and his catalog stays in heavy rotation, especially The Blueprint which takes me back to my past life as an A&R at Virgin Records. When I heard that The Brooklyn Public Library partnered with Roc Nation to celebrate the life and work of Jay-Z, I knew I had to check it out. The Book of Hov features never-before-seen images, art, and ephemera from Shawn’s archives. Life’s been crazy, so I’m just getting around to seeing it. Who’s joining me there? It’s only on until October.

How many of you suffer from procrastination? Often, the underlying cause of procrastination is fear. I’m notorious for holding off on my projects until they’re “just right”. But what is there to be afraid of? There is no failing, only learning. This week, I encourage you to bet on yourself. Have the confidence to move forward on your goals. Don’t wait your turn, it’s go time!
