A $17M Oklahoma Mega Mansion đŸ”„

What Up Family?

Welcome to The Edit with Aaron Seawood, a lifestyle letter serving a weekly dose of real estate, culture, and wisdom—all in three minutes or less. Let’s dive in.

Real Estate Remix

Over the weekend, this 17.25M mega-mansion in Oklahoma caught my attention. In NYC, 17M can get you a beautiful home in your dream location with all of the bells and whistles; in Oklahoma, it offers a palatial paradise with more amenities than a Caribbean resort. Set on 36 acres, this home has 19,000 SF of living space. The photos are pretty incredible. There’s a barn (which cost $6M to build and comes with an elevator, two bars, and a stage), a bowling alley with a funky seating area, a helipad, a 70,000-gallon resort-style pool, a billiards room and arcade, an extensive garage, and a pond stocked with 200 koi fish! Would you trade NYC for this? Personally, it’s a no for me, but it’s always interesting to clock the differences.

NYC Insider: What’s Happening This Week

For me, there’s nothing better than combining art and music together. That’s why I’m stoked to go to the MoMA this Sunday for Summergarden, a free jazz and classical music concert taking place in the museum’s Sculpture Garden. This year’s series is titled New Music for New York and features musicians from Juilliard and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Anyone interested in joining me??

Weekly Gem 💎

Lose the Battle to Win the War

This gem is critical as many of us find ourselves haggling for a minor win just to incur a major loss in the process. Of course, it’s important to stand your ground, but it’s extra important to be able to distinguish when doing so is helpful or hurtful. Keep your eye on the prize and don’t let your insistence on “being right” end up making you wrong. Try this out during your next major disagreement and let me know how it works out for you!

The Best Homes on the Market This Week

Here are three of my favorite fly listings in NYC across all price points.  Because Team Carte Blanche is all about the people, not the price.

This fly, prewar loft features 14-foot ceilings, a 75-foot wall of arched cathedral windows, keyed elevator access, and original cast iron columns. Wow!

260 Park Ave S, Unit 6B

$4,295,000   2 Bed | 2.5 Bath   Flatiron

A beautiful double-exposure corner home in a prestigious pre-war building. I love the 35-foot wide living room, renovated kitchen, and spa-like primary bath.

168 Washington Park, Unit 3

Who wants a tour?

Before you go

đŸ€‘: Turns out, you can never have too much money. A new survey just disputed the notion that happiness levels off after a certain income level is reached.

🐮: Wow, this dope 2,000-acre ranch outside Bozeman, Montana is asking $78.9 M.

👀: Supreme has a new owner. Here’s what we need to know about how it’ll impact the brand.

đŸŽ”: Donald Glover gives us Bando Stone and the New World, the last project under his alter ego Childish Gambino. It’s a banger and the track Lithonia is on repeat “
that nobody gives a f*ck!”
